Sutthithamrangsi Vihara Sutthithamrangsi Vihara was constructed in 1984 as a three-story Chaturamuk (four-gabled) building. The pinnacle of the vihara features a gilded pavilion (mondop) covered in pure gold. In 1987, sacred relics of the Buddha (Phra Borom Saririkathat) were enshrined within the pavilion’s pinnacle. The enshrinement ceremony took place on April 26, 1987, with Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presiding on behalf of His Majesty the King. On the third floor of the vihara is the principal Buddha image, a replica of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, together with a statue of Luang Pu Mun Bhuridatta and the preserved remains of Than Por Lee Dhammadharo. After paying respects at the Dhutanga Chedi, visitors are encouraged to pay homage to the body of Than Por Lee, which is preserved in a golden coffin displayed on an exquisitely decorated mother-of-pearl pedestal on the third floor of Sutthithamrangsi Vihara. The vihara also houses a replica of Phra Buddha Chinnarat as its principal Buddha image, along with several Buddha statues and likenesses of revered forest meditation masters, including Venerable Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta, Venerable Ajahn Singh Khantiyagamo, and a statue of Somdet Phra Phutthachan (To Brahmarangsi). In addition, a museum displaying Than Por Lee’s personal requisites and a life-like figure of the revered monk is available for visitors to pay their respects. This building serves as a multipurpose vihara: * First Floor: Dining area for monks and novices, and the temple’s public relations office. * Second Floor: Museum of monastic requisites and a shrine area containing Buddha images and statues of revered meditation masters. * Third Floor: Houses the principal Buddha image, the replica of Phra Buddha Chinnarat. It is also used for daily chanting and monastic meetings, and contains the preserved body of Than Por Lee along with statues of important teachers and senior monks in the forest tradition.
